Botox®

Botox® is a protein produced by Clostridium Botulinum bacterium. This protein reduces the activity of muscles that cause frown lines. Botox® Cosmetic is the only treatment approved by the FDA for temporary relief of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows. Botox is a simple nonsurgical treatment that smoothes frown- lines. Botox® is also used to minimize crows- feet, which appear near the temples, and (glebeller) forehead lines. Botox is an inexpensive option for patients to reduce their wrinkles.

Botox® can be administered in a ten minute treatment. With only a few small injections, you will find a noticeable improvement within days which lasts from 4-6 months. There is no anesthesia required for a Botox® treatment and there is no recovery time. You may return to your normal daily activities immediately. At the Rowan Eye Center, Dr. Carey T.
