Dr. Rowan is a world-renowned cataract surgeon having performed thousands of surgeries around the world in addition to his clinical medical treatments for glaucoma, oculoplastics, diabetic retinopathy and macular degeneration.
Dr. Alicia Havens
Optometrist
Dr. Havens is a residency-trained optometrist in ocular disease. She also specializes in eyeglass prescriptions and hard to fit contact lens patients. Over the past few years, she has been working alongside optometrists and ophthalmologists together, greatly influencing her desire to specialize in ocular disease, as well as primary care.

Pasco doctor brings gift of sight to impoverished in South America
Dr. Carey Rowan completed his seventh medical mission on behalf of Medical Ministries International earlier this year. He journeyed with a team to Riohacha, Colombia, for two weeks to aid impoverished residents. “I just feel like it’s not enough,” said Rowan. “I feel blessed to do something, to help somebody. Vision affects life.”
Eye doctor brings vision to Amazon residents
Dr. Carey Rowan got to take in the wonders of the Amazon jungle during a trip to Colombia. As part of a philanthropic mission trip coordinated through Medical Ministry International, Rowan, who lives in Clearwater, joined a team of more than 50 doctors, nurses and other volunteers who administered critical vision care to thousands of people in the region.
